Painting, for me, is a way of engaging with questions of existence, identity, boundaries, and time. Living in the Golan Heights, a geographically and culturally charged space, I explore landscape, separation, neighborliness, and the lines individuals and societies draw between themselves. In parallel, I return to family and childhood through photographic images, using painting to grasp lost time and examine the possibility of preserving memory. Photography is central to both bodies of work, creating distance while allowing me to engage with charged subjects through realism. I paint in oil and watercolor, searching through different material processes for something beyond my grasp: a place, a person, a memory.
