Raghad Sawaed, born in Husniyya in the Galilee (2000), is a visual artist and holds a B.A. in Art and Education from Oranim Academic College. Her work explores physical and imagined borders—their fragility, instability, and the ways in which they shift and are continually reshaped. In her practice, the border is not a fixed, clearly drawn line, but a dynamic space that produces definitions and forms of belonging while simultaneously questioning and dismantling them in response to shifting power relations. Her works emerge from events unfolding in her immediate surroundings and from an observation of the absurdities of local reality and the tensions between place, belonging, and borders.
