Alisa Mendelson is a multidisciplinary artist who works in a variety of media, including watercolor. Her work focuses on states of transition, memory, and the concept of home.
She explores how everyday spaces bear traces of presence, absence, and change.
Using diluted pigment, visual fragments, and varying perspectives, she creates images that move between documentation and decomposition, and between material reality and eroded memory.
She observes domestic and urban spaces as places where personal experiences are assimilated into the physical environment, examining how partial, fragile, and sometimes faded images become a space of memory and contemplation.
