Yarden Hana Liber is a photographer and multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores sculpture in space while examining the boundaries of the photographic medium and the tension between two-dimensionality and three-dimensionality.
In her work, she discovers objects that have been left behind at the margins, gathers them, and repositions and photographs them within new environments- sometimes in the studio, and at other times in public space.
Yarden grants the photographed object a place, visibility, and legitimacy. It is no longer merely a remnant; it is given a renewed presence and a place in the world.
Through photography, Yarden redefines the relationship between chance and choice, creating a sense of control and order in the world-even if only for a moment, and even if that sense is ultimately an illusion.
