Bachrach integrates stylistic languages that move between figuration and abstraction, combining diverse materials and media.
Her work explores the relationship between humans and nature, and between the corporeal and the vegetal. Drawing on folklore from different cultures, she examines imagined states in which the human body is absorbed into nature, losing its boundaries within an organic system. Her practice points to the inseparability of humans and nature, the role of nature in shaping bodily and human identity, and existence as a cyclical process of renewal and decay. At the core of her work is an investigation of materiality, focusing on tactile, sensory surfaces and the interplay of textures and contrasts.
