ABOUT

Capturing the moment in photography allows the present — that fleeting instant in time — to endure. This eternal persistence becomes a passageway into states of transformation and the blurring of temporal boundaries. In all the works in the exhibition — whether photography, painting, video, or sculpture — a pause is created, enabling a sensitive and wondrous glimpse into moments of change, into that existence in-between. Suspending time allows one to wander into the moment and, from within it, to move toward the past, the present, and the future to come. This wandering through time becomes a wandering through space, and across the various works, different realms unfold: political space, material space, nostalgic space, spaces of fantasy and illusion, spaces of destruction and renewal, intimate space, and the space of art unto itself. The works inhabit these spaces and themselves become states of transition — into the in-between.
