ABOUT

אודות

I paint, photograph, and film—primarily myself. The home is my stage, and I move within it like a dancer, performing simple, repetitive actions that usually explore a specific movement through space and time.

My choices are quick, intuitive, and almost random. My raw materials almost always come from my immediate surroundings — my body, my home, objects around me, and sometimes family and friends. I work alone and rarely involve others in my process. What began as a necessity has become an essential characteristic of my practice, allowing for spontaneity and a sense of immediacy. Even in works that are labor-intensive and technically complex, a certain roughness always remains, reflecting their domestic nature.

Circular movement appears as a recurring motif in my work and is also reflected in my creative process - I move forward, yet I continually return to the same places, images, and materials. Multiplicity and repetition are equally significant. Perhaps stemming from a desire for precision, but also from a sense of restlessness — a kind of cultural attention deficit.

The actions I perform symbolize and refine different aspects of human existence - above all, the longing for something beyond. My work explores fantasy, life, death, spirituality, and nature, but at its core, it revolves around the search for meaning and transcendence within the routine of everyday life. The subjects I explore are profound, yet the tone of my work remains casual, nonchalant, and infused with humor. Though my process is intuitive, my work draws from a rich world of references, resonating with cultural archetypes, mythology, and both high and low art.
