The late artist Zinaida Pozdniakova (1940-2024), whose paintings are in museum collections in Moscow, immigrated to Israel in the 1990s, was not accepted by the art establishment and retired to her home. Only now, after her death, are her works being exhibited in Israel. Alongside them in the exhibition are the works of Olga Kondina and Ania Krupyakov, who respond to the techniques she used and the subjects of her paintings. The exhibition is the late encounter that did not occur in Pozdniakova's life with the Israeli art scene. It is also an intergenerational encounter between the three artists that outlines the experience of the Soviet immigrant artist in Israel: separation and assimilation, acceptance and rejection, belonging and alienation, moving in a pendulum motion.
