The heart of the exhibition lies in the personal layers of the artist’s identity that form the foundation of the creative process: roots, homeland and country of origin, biographical narrative, family unit, insights, inspirations, dreams, and pivotal moments drawn from both the artists’ consciousness and unconscious. This is the subjective baggage that has settled and fused with their identity—seemingly faded from memory yet remaining an intrinsic and invisible layer of their creative essence.

The origin of creation is often unknown and difficult to define, whereas artistic choices exist in the visible and controlled space, carrying the message and meaning. The photographs selected for the exhibition are detached from their original context, yet they retain a connection to their primary source.
