The exhibition title Coming Into Being (Becoming) carries a double meaning. On one hand, “becoming” evokes creation, growth, and development; on the other, the visual separation between two types of time embedded within the same word highlights even more sharply the distinction between what once was and is no longer, and what is present and exists now. The process itself is paramount—an endless and repetitive journey in its various manifestations, reflected in the works on view in the exhibition.
