In the exhibition Tipolet, artists Shahar Yahalom and Noga Schatz, accompanied by curator Noga Davidzon, transform the Binyamin Gallery space into a transparent, open studio/rehearsal space for the public. For two weeks, the artists will carry out actions in the space and collaborate with a range of musicians, visual artists, sound artists, lighting designers, and photographers. During this period, visitors are invited to experience what unfolds in the space during the gallery’s regular opening hours. The activity will culminate in an official opening on December 26, 2019. The Tipolet project seeks to explore alternative modes of operation. It aims to contemplate the essence of the creative act as it unfolds over time within the gallery space, in the presence of two artists and a passing audience. The artists wish to examine how the encounter/gaze between themselves, as well as between them and the audience, influences the process and the evolving space.
