“HARD THINGS BEAUTIFULLY SAID” This quote borrowed from an article in “Haaretz” by Dror Borstein, corresponds perfectly with the subject of this exhibition .The contradiction in this phrase, and the contradiction lying in the title of the exhibition, expresses the essence of the show. The artists participating in this exhibition, each one in his own way, embody perfectly this contradiction by confronting dichotomies such as image and abstraction, expression and conceptualism, the interior and the exterior, the appearance and the content.
The appearance and exterior of each work seem to belie what really occupies the artists. Aesthetic and designed as these works may appear, they actually deal with personal and
emotional issues. This makes the act of deciphering more complicated, though at the same time it is obvious that there’s more here than meets the eye..
