The exhibition “Mythological Encounters” displays works inspired by Classical mythology and outlooks, on three levels: myths such as Leda and the Swan or Perseus and Medusa, and their implications as metaphors in the present; the encounter between Classical culture and the postmodern and its relevance; and the unique encounter between artists inspired conceptually and aesthetically by the Classics. The exhibition features ten artists whose works comprise mixed media and reveal varied techniques.
