In the joint exhibition Hidden Heat, artists Noa Mor and Diana Kogan present works that reflect on the space between the Sun and the Earth. This is a realm influenced by solar winds and electromagnetic fields that affect both the physical and emotional body. Focusing on ecological grief, whether as a bearer of loss or as a state of consciousness, the artists observe what is happening around them and the world of phenomena that is present in this moment. They capture contradictory conditions; using laborious and sisyphean drawings and treated objects, they present landscapes in disintegration. Cut and burnt trees, open fields, and remnants of urban asphalt form an immediate response or transformation into destruction and ruin. Loss functions as a portal to longing, no longer tied to a specific place. For us, it symbolizes the passing of time and death without end. With the solar winds blowing in our direction, perhaps failing to hold onto a particular state of aggregation will resonate as a period that threatens to cut us off from the fiery earth.
