The group exhibition Wild Hybrid invites a carnivalesque contemplation of the act of hybridization. It seeks to create new heterogeneous entities—combinations of the unlike: the merging of male and female, organic and artificial, human and animal, interior and exterior.

Can the hybrid, often perceived as monstrous, inspire us rather than frighten us? Can chaos, which disrupts comfortable and accepted orders, generate a new form of fertilization rather than mere unrest? Can a multiplicity of possibilities, alien to one another, lead us to a new space where choosing is no longer necessary, but rather, both can coexist?

Each of the five artists in the exhibition presents a different perspective on the hybrid experience and its complexities, whether in a sexual, physical, or material sense.
