ABOUT

The trilogy, titled after the letters marking territorial divisions in the Oslo Accords, presents a polyphony of political and cultural perspectives in Israel, spanning a wide range of ideological positions. How does the political conflict leave its mark on the landscape and on Israeli society? How is it represented by the various political sides? What is hidden, what is exposed—and who sees what?
The second exhibition in the trilogy, B, focuses on the human landscape of the conflict. In a sense, it can be viewed as a kind of fashion exhibition: clothing, costume, disguise, posture.
A demonstration in Sheikh Jarrah appears like a fashion blog; a rocker and a muezzin meet for a jam session in Issawiya; a provocative performance features a soldier painted white roaming the territories; a journalistic photograph reveals a landscape pretending to be something else; and the Palestinian icon of the local donkey appears as a comic interlude within a complex reality.
The exhibition features works in video, digital photography, installation, and still photography.
