The members of the Kabri cooperative gallery come from diverse backgrounds. The artists live in northern Israeli cities, kibbutzim, Arab villages, and Druze villages. They are hosted at Binyamin Gallery—a setting that enables a material and conceptual encounter based on a “given situation.” Each artist interprets this situation as a reflection of personal, emotional, social, political, and universal aspects. The works individually grapple with existential artistic questions, drawing a line between language and identity from within each artist’s personal world. The works were not created specifically for this exhibition.
