My work focuses on painting and drawing, exploring abstract ideas and expressing indexical processes. I combine dust painting, a technique I have developed, where I bring the canvas to the place I want to paint, and using stencils, I expose different aspects of time, creating an image of the place with its DNA. In this way, I create a true painting of the place. I also work with oil painting, where my practice involves destruction and construction, layering colors and materials that represent the process of the work itself. I examine the boundary between painting and illusion, seeking the way in which painting becomes both a material and emotional documentation. In my search for the true painting, I found the connection between physical actions and the use of materials as a way to express the dialogue between space, time, and emotion.
